My green tank top was just not working out very well. I think it would have gone down to my knees if I kept going the way I was, so I pulled out several T-shirts and did some measuring. Then I drew up a plan and worked out what I wanted in the shaping. After a big breath, I ripped back the front which was up to the armhole shaping. Picking up the stitches again just above the end of the lace, I have started re-knitting the front. I am now about halfway through it. Ripping back the back is going to be tougher, but I can rip half the lace back and correct the tiny error that I know is there. I sure hope this all works. This is really the first time I have modified a pattern based this much using measurements from what I know fits, and using guage. Hmmm... maybe swatching has some value. Who knew?
