I tried on the sock I was knitting from my home-dyed Silja yarn. It is too small. So I am frogging it back Here is a picture so you can see the colour. I still couldn't get all the subtleties of the colour captured, but the camera does a better job then my scanner does right now. I didn't mix all of the dye with the water before adding the wool. That led to the varigations. I rather like the result.

Yes Theresa, you caught me. I did submit Fling the cow to Cowblogs. :-) I just couldn't resist.

I was surfing today and rediscovered Judy Gibson's site String and Air There is some interesting information there, especially if you want to play with knitted fabrics.

Squib, thank you for your report and reccomendations for the tank pattern. I think I will try some shaping in the waist area, even if only to give me the illusion of a figure. These things are good to know. :-) I wonder if I can convince one of my mini assistants to help me wind the yarn into balls. They laugh at me when I loop skeins onto my feet and wind from there. It is time for me to get a laugh.

Do I ever like this quote!

"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and
I'm not sure about the former." ---= Albert Einstein

Bonne Marie made a reference to these lovely ladies, in a blog from a few days ago. I know I had followed a link from somewhere else to this page, but I am not sure whose it was. This sure did make me smile though. I love the concept and the way the humour of the calendar models shows through. It is for a worthy cause too. I think I need a calendar like this. I just wonder who else would appreciate it? Maybe they would hang one in the shop where my hsband works? Not the typical mechanics' calendar, is it? But then again, it sure beats the babes on bikes, and silicone! :-)

I am so happy to be home! This was a pretty good weekend. It wasn't too cold, or too hot, or rainy, and IT DIDN'T SNOW!!! The other best part was that we didn't have car troubles. For us, that is a real change. I even got to spend some time working on each of my three knitting projects and made progress on each one. Now to deal with the laundry...
