Well, I am going to have to turn this thing off and finish up my packing. I am taking two pairs of socks to work on and my bag that I plan to felt. I know it is overkill, but if I don't bring three projects we will have a lot of time to sit and knit, and I will just sit...and whatever.

I hope everyone has a super weekend. And I think that perhaps the knitbloggers should consider these (the Bride and Groom socks) for a certain knitter we all know and love. Afterall, she is going to get married! Congratulations Theresa!

Friday Five

1. What shampoo do you use? Neutrogena

2. Do you use conditioner? What kind? Yes, I have too. KMS Daily Repair Reconstructor

3. When was the last time you got your hair cut? Really cut, as in lots of length taken off...5 years ago. I trim my bangs about once a month.

4. What styling products do you use? A blowdryer?

5. What's your worst hair-related experience? There have been so many! There was the "Bride of Frankenstein" perm that took so well I had to get it all cut off. And then there was the time I dyed my hair a very, very light ash blonde, but it ended up purple.

Kate, I changed the MIC format from bmp to jpg. I hope you can see it now, and I hope others can see it. I know I couldn't get it to show up on Xanga when I saved it as a bmp. Let me know if this is any better.

Now I have to figure out how to make a heading banner, and make a better layout for this. Unfortunately real life is trying to intrude on my virtual one. Bleck! I have to go shopping to prepare for the annual May long weekend "freeze your butt off" camping trip. It is an annual family tradition. The nice thing about all the late snowfall we had is that this year there isn't a fire ban. Yippee!!!! Knitting, and a chair and a campfire. (Plus plenty of teenagers of both genders trying to impress the others with their fire wood chopping skills!) You know where I will be all weekend! :-)

I finished my Clown socks!!!! And I have a picture! Even better, no? I have even darned all the ends in, and figured out how to Kitchner the toes, after 5 tries on the first one. However they are done and this is what they look like!

Clown Socks

I also have a picture of the blonde bombshell who drags me around the neighbourhood every morning. His name is Bentley, and his blonde roots run very deep!

And this is my youngest daughter, Maryssa. She loves having her picture taken, but she also tries to force her smiles. I hope to get some better pictures of her.

Bonne Marie at Chicknits posted a link to find out what your name would be in MiddleEarth. Go here to check out yours. Mine is Estella Tighfield of Tookbank. Sure beats my usual name.

Check out Chicknits if you haven't already visited. There are a lot of interesting things to see there. This was one of the first knitting blogs I found and one of the reasons I returned to knitting after a long break. Knitting can be fun and funky, but most of all you can create your own rules!
